We recently completed a project for a customer with a GMC bus! This customer wanted to add a backup camera to their vehicle so it would be easier to see if anything is behind the bus when trying to put it into reverse.
We installed a heavy-duty truck backup camera on the top back of the bus. This camera has infrared, IP69, made for working outside. For the front of their bus, this customer did not want to add an extra screen, so they decided on a 7-inch rearview mirror with a screen. We replaced their old mirror with the new one and installed it directly on the front windshield. This mirror works as a normal rearview mirror, but when you put the vehicle into reverse, the camera image appears on the mirror screen!
